How We Write and Review Our Guides

Families make real decisions from these pages, so here is who stands behind them, where the facts come from and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Who reviews our guides

Guides that show a “Clinically reviewed by” line have been approved by the person named there. Our Florida ABA Guide is reviewed by our founder and clinical director, Aisha Albright-Jourdan, MSW, LCSW, BCBA. When another team member also reviews a page in their specialty, their name and the review date appear on that page too. Our billing and intake staff check billing and benefits facts on some pages; that is a practical fact check, not a clinical review. Some diagnosis pages are also reviewed by a licensed psychologist (PsyD) who works with us on evaluations; those pages say so without naming the psychologist. You can read each clinician’s background and check their credentials on our team page.

What clinical review covers

Clinical review means a credentialed clinician checked that a page fits accepted practice and how care works at Hope Center. Our clinicians are not lawyers or insurance agents. Pages about laws, benefits and insurance are written from the primary sources they list, and they are general information. They are not legal, financial or medical advice for your child. Please confirm anything important with your plan, your attorney or your child’s doctor.

Where the facts come from

We rely first on primary sources: Florida statutes and agency rules, federal program pages such as TRICARE, professional bodies such as the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, public health agencies such as the CDC, and peer-reviewed research. Guide articles list their sources at the bottom of the page. Facts about Hope Center itself, such as insurance accepted, locations and languages, come from the center.

Keeping pages current

Each guide shows the date it was last updated. Pages built on rules that change also show a “facts current as of” date. Laws, plan rules and program amounts do change, so check with the agency or plan before you rely on a specific number or deadline.

We are a provider

Hope Center provides ABA therapy, and our guides mention our services. Some guides explain programs we do not take, such as Medicaid and Medicare, because families need that information. Those pages say clearly that we do not accept them.
